Spacious Winter

Winter is the most unique season.

Asking us to see our life with fresh eyes.

Nudging us to more sustainable practices in our everyday habits.

It's cold and dark and stark and uncertain.

And it's hopeful, reflective, spacious, and revealing.

What feels light and what feels heavy?

And what about this calling to rest?

How do we actually rest in our busyness?

With tiny incremental pauses.

Then they lengthen into tiny insights.

Opening the veil to rejuvenation.

It's a wonderful practice to heed the call to stop being productive.

To leave our lists with a little room.

To have a few days with nothing scheduled.

How will you receive or resist?
