Forgiveness

Forgiveness and self-forgiveness are surprisingly related.

How we see ourselves and the world is tangential.

Forgiveness is the one practice where most of us get stuck.

Perhaps this is because we don't really know what forgiveness is.

We try to bully our way through forgiveness.

We can't get unstuck. We are trying too hard.

This touchy subject is much more about the relationship with the self.

We learn with gentleness that this practice is lifelong.

And the layers are many. Instead of a black hole, we hope for a gentle pond.

Remembering that forgiveness is about our reactions,

not the rationale of why or how could you.

This is where self-forgiveness weaves in as well.

Try the practice of forgiveness with curiosity and care.
